It is that time of year again: The 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed shall commence on June 26th and run through Sunday the 29th. This is one of the few great gatherings of exotic sports cars during that lull between major automotive shows and this year promises to be just a touch more exquisite than last, which is a pattern we can all appreciate.
The Michelin Supercar Paddock at the Goodwood Festival of Speed is but a segment of what this well-rounded event has to offer–and that is saying something. There may be 2 of just 3 special edition Bugatti Veyron cars at the same dealership, but where else can spectators immerse themselves in the Koenigsegg One, LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and exotics never seen in public before? Aside from simply viewing these aggressive machines, there will be the fun of the traditional races, auctions and famous Hill Climb taking place over the course of the weekend.
Aside from the extreme hypercars at the 2014 FOS, there will also be members of the more practical supercar classes present, including: The Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari California T, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Bentley V8S, Jaguar F-Type Coupe R, Lotus Exige V6 Cup, Aston Martin Vanquish Volante and GTA Spano…to name a few. Have you heard about the Arash AF8, Sin R1 or the Trident Iceni? They will be making a cameo at the show as well.
There is a surprise around every corner at the Goodwood festival.
An estimated 40 supercars shall participate in their class at this year’s Goodwood FOS. Which model will emerge victorious? It is actually a difficult guess this year, which only makes it more enthralling.
