The LP570-4 Spyder Performante is a special edition Gallardo. It is basically a convertible Gallardo Superleggera with the same 5.2-liter V10 kicking out 570 horses and 4-wheel drive.

Houston police could not comment on the precise cause, but did say that one individual had to be extracted from the Lamborghini wreckage—brutal! Witnesses said the passenger was able to move all of her limbs and hold a conversation, but did complain of her neck hurting.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident

A witness told local news stations that the exotic convertible flipped upside down while turning at a high rate of speed. The Lambo then caught fire, and astonishingly, a group of bystanders heroically turned the car right-side-up and extinguished the blaze!

The witnesses said that the driver of the Gallardo escaped unscathed while the passenger went to the hospital in unknown condition. The Lamborghini was towed away with extensive damage to the windshield and at least one door removed in order to free the trapped passenger.
