Aston Martin Owned by George Harrison Nets $546k

A lucky Texan can now blend Beatle-mania with his James Bond side—he just bought the Aston Martin DB5 owned by George Harrison, lead guitarist for the Beatles! The specimen earned $546,000 on the luxury car auction block in London when it changed hands for the 4th time.

Georgie’s DB5

This DB5 is a rare example because it is in its original and unrestored condition. It was delivered new to Harrison in 1965. Since Harrison, the car was preserved in a Museum and was then sold to a collector.

This Aston Martin DB5 has certainly had a rockin’ past, it starred in flicks like Goldfinger and Thunderball and was driven by musical legends! I am assuming Harrison sang in the car…which only makes it cooler. Celebrity-owned luxury cars demand a higher price than their mere mortal counterparts, so the steep sale price is not shocking in the least.
