Audi is known for its line of supreme luxury vehicles, with the show-stealer being its only supercar, the R8. That mindset may be about to change with the entrance of the Audi Nanuk Quattro concept.

Will the Audi Nanuk Quattro concept dazzle the world in the same way that the long-running R8 managed?

The Audi Nanuk Quattro could be the lovechild of the beloved R8 and a Lamborghini. The reason for this vague resemblance may be the designers. The same design team responsible for the Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour created the Nanuk Quattro concept. It is being described as a supercar-meets-crossover.

Power

In these early concept stages the Audi Nanuk Quattro features a twin-turbocharged V10 TDI engine. Estimated output is around 550 horses. The Audi seven-speed dual-clutch S Tronic gearbox can manage the power increase thanks to a bit of tweaking. Top speed is estimated at 190 miles per hour with a 0-60 mile per hour jump of 3.8 seconds.

Does Audi have the stamina to produce another supercar?

The Nanuk Quattro will boast carbon ceramic brakes to manage its versatile capabilities. They say it will be equally confident on the road, track or off-road. The reason for this is the power output and the massive 22-inch low-profiles with the following measurements: 235/50 up front and 295/45 taking up the rear.

Audi has been eluding to a TDI version of the R8 for a while

Overall, the coolest concept components rarely make it to the production version. That means the awesome vertically hinged doors and various cameras may be eliminated. We will compare a production version to the concept in a couple of years when it rolls out!
