Audi TT RS Dubbed the ‘Poor Man’s Audi’, Still Sells for 57k

The Audi TT RS has somehow earned the label “The poor man’s Audi”, yet it still comes with a price tag of $57,000.  I suppose it is considerably less than the Audi R8, which starts at $115,450 and goes up to $155,000.

The new Audi TT RS will bring the RS badge back to the States, and will cost around $5,000 more than current TTS Prestige models.

The powertrain will be beefed up some, up to 360 horses and feature a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual.  There will be no automatic transmission option for this Audi.  In the speed arena, the TT RS nails the 0-60 mark in 4.1 with top speeds of 174 miles per hour.

The TT RS visual cues include a specialized grille exclusive to the model, 19-inch aluminum wheels, oversized air intakes, a wing spoiler and sporty cockpit.
