Bugatti was prepared for the onslaught of journalists and auto aficionados at the New York Auto Show. The ultra-luxe automaker hired a security guard to defend the world’s fastest production car this year, the Bugatti Veyron. The guard’s sole duty was to defend the supercar from scratches, nicks and other unintentional damages that can occur from too many paws within proximity.
Bugatti hired security guard instead of supermodels at this year’s New York Auto Show to ensure that the mobs steered clear
While most companies showing off their latest and greatest cars at the show hired ‘booth babes’ to draw more attention, Bugatti opted for the security guard to prevent damage. It is not unusual to see female models poised alongside the rides at each stand, so the Bugatti security guard certainly generated both chatter and perhaps more attention! Bugatti could have blown minds by hiring an attractive and scantily clad female security guard.
The Bugatti Veyron is sexy enough without a supermodel strutting alongside. So sexy, in fact, that it requires its own security staff.
According to the guard, journalists at last year’s show accidentally damaged the Veyron. Damage to the Bugatti Veyron in any measure is quite an expense, and hiring a security guard would definitely be cheaper than replacing any part on the insanely expensive super beast!
The Bugatti Veyron remains the fastest production car in the world, much to Hennessey’s chagrin
The security guard’s job was to keep excited onlookers a few yards away from the car. For those dreaming of getting closer, interested parties could arrange a closer look through a Bugatti media representative beforehand.
This approach is far too bold…or beneath Bugatti…unless those are Louboutins?
