Aston Martin Vulcan Pairs Well with the Avro Vulcan

The Aston Martin Vulcan is pretty much the most powerful thing the brand has produced lately, an extreme track-focused beast given the look of a show car. There is also another famous Vulcan in the UK—the Avro Vulcan aircraft. Watch the two epic creations encounter each other in the short clip below!

The Avro Vulcan is stunning in the air and the Aston Martin Vulcan has the ground effects covered. The Avro version is an iconic jet bomber craft that originated back in the 1950s. It is unclear if the aircraft is the car’s namesake, but it is nice to think as much. The Vulcan car retains a naturally aspirated 7.0-liter V12 engine during the time of the hybrid, and churns forth 800 horses for the road to reckon with. There will only be 24 examples of the car crafted, and all are likely pre-sold. read more

Buffering: Aston Martin Smartphone Ranges from $6k-$30k

Supercar themed smartphones are not a new thing, and while they seem to be fading out a touch, a high-priced gadget still makes headlines here and there. Like the latest Aston Martin smartphone, which ranges delicately in price from $6k-$30k. Seriously, it is dubbed the Aston Martin Racing 808 smartphone, though those wielding it could perhaps be perceived as dummies for dropping so much on something that will be old within a year. On the upside, owning an Aston Martin car would sustain a lasting curb appeal. read more

New Bond Film Sets Record by Smashing $37 Million in Aston Martin Cars

New Bond Film

The latest James Bond film ‘Spectre’ can add another bragging right to its already extensive repertoire: It has the record for dollar damage from smashing up and otherwise annihilating perfectly good Aston Martin machines.

The Aston Martin DB10 car was created for use in the James Bond film only.

It is certainly an amusing tidbit to add to any conversation, as Spectre’s stunt coordinator Gary Powell recently did when he told Event magazine: “We set the record for smashing up cars on Spectre. In Rome, we wrecked millions of pounds worth. They were going into the Vatican at top speeds of 110 miles per hour. We shot one entire night for four seconds of film.” read more

Aston Martin Confirms Rapide EV and ‘Stupid’ Competition

Rapide EV

Fans of alternative powertrain options and Aston Martin can revel in the recent confirmation that there will be a Rapide EV. CEO Andy Palmer has revealed that the Aston Martin Rapide EV will be a reality with in the next two years or so, and that it will pack power along with the sophisticated styling we all adore.

Palmer shared that it made little sense to only offer thirsty V12 engines without offering something at the other end of the spectrum. We all know that global regulations are tightening and that automakers are scrambling to meet the deadlines–that is not new news, but it is noteworthy as each big company joins the ranks with their hybrid and electric offerings. Ten years ago the world would never bet on Ferrari creating a hyper hybrid like LaFerrari, and yet she lives and drinks. What is to come from all brands over the next decade will truly be enthralling as they fight for attention and loyalty. read more

The Future Form: Aston Martin Changes Shape with the Vulcan

The old saying goes something like this: “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”. A dominating percentage of automakers take that phrase directly to heart when it comes to production because it is expensive to switch things up too drastically and risky to mess with something buyers adore. But after an exceedingly long stretch of making vehicles that look similar year after year, even brands like Aston Martin are brave enough to churn forth something bold. Behold the Aston Martin Vulcan—what the brand will likely look like for the next 30 years. read more

The Aston Martin DB10 was crafted specifically to wow fans for the latest James Bond movie installment called “Spectre”, which came out this weekend following many months of buildup. The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition features the same brilliant Spectre silver exterior coat and there are, of course, a set of special edition wheels on her. While there are no spy style weapons, bulletproof glass or ejection seats, the cockpit is lavish and it comes with the pricey Omega watch and matching luggage for stylish travel. This way, if the owners ever end up flying commercial, they can stand in any airport and glance frequently at their gorgeous watch while leaning gracefully on the luggage–tipping off passerby that they own a 007 car and would rather be hoisted away in a private jet. That really is not the point of the freebies; everyone knows that even the well-to-do types like free perks because it is human nature. read more

Aston Martin CEO Pushes Tesla’s Ludicrous Mode Button

There are occasions to be reserved and gentlemanly—but the press is no longer one of those places, thank you Internet. Media outlets of all types have become a sort-of adult playground where players can freely express how they truly feel about things without having to ‘sugar coat’ it for mass consumption. Case in point: The CEO of Aston Martin, Andy Palmer, recently shared with the world exactly how he feels about Tesla’s new ‘Ludicrous Mode’. Recall that the ‘Ludicrous Mode’ is a button enhancing the performance of the Tesla Model S. read more

What Happens When Buyers Demand A Street Legal Aston Martin Vulcan?

Aston Martin Vulcan

The Aston Martin Vulcan emerged and laid absolute waste to previous expectations of the brand. With radical exterior styling cues and a 7.0-liter engine with a serious drinking problem, it is no wonder buyers are now demanding a street-legal version of the epic beast. What is even better is that Aston Martin is actually entertaining the notion!

Reports state that Aston Martin is indeed looking into offering a street legal version of the Vulcan, breaking the track-only variant out and onto the public ways. Aston Martin product manager Simon Croft shared that clients have expressed great desire to own one with street status. This does not mean that a toned-down Vulcan variant would be an ideal commuter—just that it would be legit to take out on the weekends and also to car shows and similar events. Let’s face the facts: feeding 800 thirsty horses is not a light expenditure on the bank account. read more

The Aston Martin Vulcan Is Proving Itself All Around the World

The track-only Aston Martin Vulcan has been busy proving its beast mode at events all over the world. The racer climbed the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex and took on 2 flying laps at the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium to help revv up the crowd prior to the start of the endurance race.
The clip above shows more of the Vulcan in action.

The Aston Martin Vulcan is a 7.0-liter 800 horsepower weapon. Just 24 units of the Vulcan are planned for production, and buyers will have to separate from around $2.3 million USD in order to own one of them. Some of the Aston Martin Vulcan’s siblings competed in the race, making it a fitting introduction indeed. Will the Vulcan participate in an endurance race soon? That remains to be seen. In the meantime, the mad machine is making her publicity rounds and showing off all of her beauty and brawn. read more
