What could be more fun than watching two of the worlds greatest supercars duke it out in a head to head all out race? The only thing that I can think of would be if the win was major upset. Last week we pitted the Lamborghini Huracan spyder against the BMW i8 hybrid in a drag race, and the photo finish showed a shocking result.

The old saying ‘When in Rome, do as the Romans do’ should be carefully interpreted for those looking at the unfortunate chap in the photo below! The man has reportedly been warned several times by police officials to remove his modified Maserati watercraft because it is not safe. I use the term modified lightly–as you will understand upon viewing the short clip below. Clearly the dude-friend-guy did not understand that turning a vintage Maserati car into an unauthorized personal watercraft poses danger.
Most know the tragic tale of Hollywood legend James Dean and his untimely death behind the wheel of his beloved Porsche 550 Spyder back in 1955. Since that time, numerous stories about the car being cursed continue to fascinate—along with the mystery of where the Porsche ended up when it disappeared somewhere between Florida and California during transport in the early 1960s. It seems someone has come forward claiming to know exactly where the car has been hidden all of these years.
Has the missing wreckage of James Dean’s Porsche 550 been discovered?
This sibling displays that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery–showing off that famous Bugatti L’Or Blanc exterior styling. The 2014 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse with L’Or Style exterior finish is available for those who cannot have the one-off L’Or Blanc. It comes in red and black, and also white and blue.
Someone can have a 2014 Bugatti Veyron Vitesse L’Or Style, similar to the well-adored L’Or Blanc shown above.
This one is listed on DuPont Registry for $2,395,000 with the following details:
With the world barely grasping the idea of an autonomous vehicle, the University of Michigan is constructing a $10 million dollar, 32-acre driverless car city where companies can freely utilize and test their products. The city is named “M City”, fittingly, and the idea lends some interesting avenues to explore.
The clip above provides a brief synopsis of the overall goals and perks of M City along with helpful visuals.
The driverless car city would provide the ideal testing field in an urban setting, where things are constantly changing and the volume of vehicles and pedestrians is concentrated. How will autonomous vehicles react together in such a setting? That seems to be exactly what is on the agenda to learn and study prior to them becoming legal in regular cities with…you know, humans gripping the wheels.
The video below shows the rarely seen creature strutting her stuff in the wild: The Bugatti EB112. This car was created as a mere prototype, but has broken out in full daylight to distract those in the scenic French enclave and luxury hotspot known as Monaco.
The short clip above shows the exquisite and almost-never seen EB112 Bugatti prototype hitting the streets. You can see onlookers snapping photos and video, knowing that they are witnessing something unusually special.
Just two examples of the Bugatti EB112 prototype were made. It is rumored that there is a third, belonging to the car’s designer Giorgetto Giurgiaro, but it has not been proven.
The Dubai police are equipped with an enviable arsenal of exotic vehicles at their disposal, and now they have something more to deepen the green envy: 3 new Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid cars. The luxury hybrids were given to the force at Dubai Police Headquarters with many high titles in attendance and much exuberance.
The greener additions to the Dubai police force serve as a visual reminder of the government’s recent drive for more eco-friendly and sustainable vehicles. What better way, after all, to promote change than leading by example? The region is packed with immense wealth and because of that, it is also brimming with all types of supercars. There is a definite push on the pedal gearing up for a surge in hybrids and electric options. This could be the perfect arena to further the hybrid and electric movement, as they are often more expensive to purchase at this time, and money is typically not an issue in Dubai. Could this be the financial jolt companies need to produce fleets of more affordable hybrid options for the masses?
Amid all of the fuss surrounding the final Bugatti Veyron produced, the Grand Sport Vitesse La Finale, a gem was missed that has finally risen to the surface: The Bugatti Veyron Cristal Edition. The Cristal Edition is also a Grand Sport Vitesse Veryon, and was commissioned by a Chinese collector for his girlfriend, who took delivery of the pristine pink beast back in January. The event remained quite secret until it hit the interwebs recently!
Paris Hilton must be seething with envy: The pink accents on the Bugatti Veyron Cristal Edition are enough to win any woman’s heart. This is certainly not an ordinary gift!
The creative Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6 rolled onto the scene back in 2013 on her 6 wheels. The typical rumor topics swirled, including pricing, specs and number of units. Against all odds, 100 units of the G63 6×6 have sold in just two years…at $400,000+ each!
Initially, Mercedes-Benz approached the idea with supreme caution, creating just two units and gauging customer demand. That demand ended up being quite large for the interesting vehicle, with orders pouring in regardless of the high price tag. It seems that vehicles with a distinct sense of style and personality tend to attract and maintain a steady fanbase: Think Land Rover, Jeep and now the Mercedes-Benz G63 6×6. So why in the world is the brand pulling the plug on the model after unloading 100 units? It could just be a case of quitting while ahead. It is not clear if Mercedes-Benz will accept special orders for the 6×6 at anytime down the road.
