Phil Hill’s $2M 1952 Jaguar C-Type

1952 Jaguar C-TypeLet’s forget for a moment that the front-end of this luxury Jaguar looks like it has been blown up like a piece of bubble-gum and appreciate how awesome the effect is.  It is truly unfortunate that this 1952 Jaguar is not made any longer; it is so classically gorgeous and was ahead of its time.

Sleek and Stunning, the Bugatti Grand Sport Makes its Debut

Bugatti Grand Sport A topless transition from the Veyron, the new Bugatti Grand Sport will set you back a stratospheric $2 million dollars.  The design is elegant, not intimidating, and the interior engulfs driver and passenger in luxury.  The interior leather is pure of grain, originating from Alpine bovines raised at altitudes high enough to lack the insect pests that would mar their skin.  Now that is smooth.

Impressed yet?  This luxury car is capable of a cool blast-off from zero to 62 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds.  If you press the accelerator for seven seconds, you can become a blur reaching speeds of over 125 miles per hour-leaving gawkers to wonder "What is that?"  You could conceivably go 188 miles per hour, but would require a fuel stop every ten minutes.  The EPA economy numbers are not a concern to potential buyers, renters or owners of this exotic beast, but for the record they are 8-mpg city, 14-mpg highway.

This  ridiculously racy car demands attention, and definitely gets it in spades.  This is one of the mBugatti Grand Sport luxury carost expensive, exclusive, and fastest production cars on earth.  A delicious sight and an almost devious experience to encounter, the Bugatti Grand Sport could qualify as one of the wonders of the world.  Other savvy selections and recommendations for exotic sports convertible rentals include the Aston Martin V8 Vantage rental, the Bentley GTC convertible rental, and the Ferrari F430 Spyder rental

A Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang for Sale

After just 124 miles somebody either got sick of their exotic Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang or they couldn’t afford it because it’s now for sale. Safe to bet it was the latter reason. The special edition Bugatti with exposed carbon fiber and aluminum bodywork is one of only five, all of which were originally sold within one day. This is now the second Pur Sang up for sale and the going rate is a cool $3 million. The Veyron Pur Sang is being sold in Frankfurt, Germany very close to its original launch-place at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Due to the economic depression, it seems Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang owners are looking to cash in and move on. Get it if you can.

Top Five Bugatti Veyron Pictures on Flickr

The Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 is a mid-engine grand touring supercar made by Bugatti Automobiles SAS, a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group. The Veyron was introduced in 2005 as the fastest production car in the world. Currently, the Bugatti Veyron is the fastest accelerating street-legal production car available. With a proven zero to 60 in under 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 253.81 mph, the Bugatti Veyron pretty much dominates. The 8-liter 16 cylinder engine puts our 1001 horsepower and features ten radiators.

The man who designed the McLaren F1 was skeptical of the Veyron during its development phase but after driving the finished car, Gordon Murray called it a “huge achievement.” To own such an achievement, would cost you upwards of $1.5 million. Considering that the majority of people don’t see that much money in an entire lifetime, it becomes very unusual to see a Bugatti Veyron in real life. That is why every time someone does see the supercar, they start snapping cameras and cell phones. People then upload their pictures for the rest of the world to see. We have chosen the five best pictures from Flickr. Take a look and tell us which Bugatti Veyron Flickr picture is the best of the best? Celebrate Good Times, Come On Bugatti. Luxury Sports Car at its finest.

There is no need to pimp out or add onto the Bugatti Veyron supercar, yet, there are those that do it anyway. The $1.5 million Bugatti Veyron has undergone special edition designs by Pur Sang, Sang Noir and Hermes, one-offs like the Mansory Vincero, plus, countless aftermarket add-ons. Rather than just play around with the Veyron, the firm has launched a one-off concept that will actually go up for sale, once the Geneva Motor Show is over.To reclaim the title of fasted production car and celebrate an epic birthday, Bugatti has launched the Bleu Centenaire. Ettore Bugatti founded the luxury marque in 1909 and after 100 years of making history, the firm reminds us that we more to look forward to in the future. The Bleu Centenaire sports more than just a mat and gloss finish, blue paint job. The 8 liter, 16 cylinder quad-turbo Bugatti engine is just plain fast. Athe Centenaire does zero to 60 in 2.4 seconds at a top speed of 275 miles per hour. The Centenaire can produce up to 1,400 horsepower at a lower overall weight than the Veyron. The Bugatti Bleu Centenaire is two-fold. One we have Bugatti to look to in the future and two no one needs to teach the French how to celebrate a birthday.

Oh My My What Did They Find?

An old garage isn’t the place to find treasures, at least not multi-million dollar treasures. Occasionally a rare piece or art or jewelry gets discovered in an attic or basement somewhere but what good ever came form a garage? Apparently a car was just discovered in an old garage, typical but this time it wasn’t just any car. A very rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante was found in the old garage of Dr. Harold Carr. There were only 17 Bugatti Atalantes ever made, and a quarter of them are now housed in a museum in France. This specific Bugatti Atalante vanished about a half century ago, only to turn up now in the garage of recluse Dr. Harold Carr. This 1937 Bugatti Type 57S Atalante will be auctioned off in Paris on February 7 as part of the Bonhams Retromobile sale. If you’re a classic car junkie then we suggest you get to the auction and put your bid in. The classic car has been garaged for so long that it is still in running condition, it may need some minor cosmetic restoration but the odometer only reads 26,284 miles. The estimated value for this Bugatti Atalante has been listed at about $8.8 million. Very nice find!

Exposed Girl to Join the Bugatti Family: New Bugatti Veyron Convertible

There will be a new addition to the Bugatti Veyron family this spring and she will be topless. The new carbon fiber colored Bugatti will be an open-top Veyron Grand Sport Sang Noir. In French Sang Noir means black blood, kind of fitting for a wicked fast exotic car. Sans top, she’s quick and can hit 250 miles per hour.

Production will, of course, be ultra exclusive, expect 15 convertibles
or less in total.  As Bugatti only built 15 Sang Noir models in coupe
form, the first of which was auctioned off for $3.19 million. No price
has been set for the Bugatti Veyron, Grand Sport Sang Noir convertible
but a safe bet would be upwards of $3 mill. We are fans of the sexy
two-seater, she makes a statement.

Bugatti FPG Par Hermes watch

It’s a big job when it comes to complimenting the new 2009 Bugatti Faubourg Par Hermes car and we say three is better than two.  The partnership between Bugatti’s auto expertise and Hermes’ fashion authority resulted in the breathtaking 2009 FPG Par Hermes exotic, luxury sportscar.  It seems Bugatti thought it was time to add a third party to the mix and push the project a little bit farther, we say in this case three is not a crowd.  What we mean is that Bugatti and Hermes wanted to create a complimentary piece for the FPG car, so they linked up with Parmigiani.  Parmigiani is a highly esteemed Swiss watch maker and the result is, well, a seriously insane watch!  From the three fab marques comes the Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti watch, priced at $233,900.

One of the best features about this watch is that when your hands are on the wheel of your new Bugatti FPG Par Hermes car, you can look at the time convienently without twisiting your arm.  The watch is available in 18-carat rose or brushed white gold version.  The part we like even better is that the watch is extremely exclusive and only 20 timepieces will be sold.  Those with the cash better act fast, it would be such a shame to have one without the other.

Bugatti Plus Hermes is Par Excellence. Luxury Sports Car.

Bugatti Par HermesWe always thought the Bugatti marque was solitary perfection.  Then just when we thought we knew all about perfection, Bugatti went and upstaged themselves.  For the sake of some good old fashioned nostalgia and an 80 year old collaborative partnership with the fashion house of Hermes, Bugatti released a special edition Veyron sportscar. The special edition Veyron is the Faubourg Par Hermes car, in short the FPG Par Hermes. The name pays homage to the high-end label Hermes, whose historic headquarters sits at 24 rue Faubourg Saint-Honoré street.

Bugatti Par HermesThe car features both interior and exterior upgrades but one aspect remains unchanged and that is the Bugatti Veyron’s powerplant. When Bugatti feels like they’ve harped on perfection at least they know it because the FPG Veyron’s mechanicals were left untouched. Thus the same Quad-Turbocharged 16 Cylinder (16.4) engine still produces 1001 Horsepower @ 6000 rpm and 922 pounds per feet of torque @ 2200 rpm. The FPG Par Hermes supercar will still top out at 253 miles per hour and do 0-60 mph in 2.46 seconds (62-0 mph in 2.3 sec).

Bugatti FPG Par HermesBugatti FPG Par HermesA traditional two-tone chassis honors the 1924 Bugatti Type 35, from back when Hermes was doing the custom interiors for Ettore Bugatti. Key features are the exclusive color hood, which extends to the interior of the cockpit and re-emerges at the level of the rear wing. The front end of the luxury car has been slightly revamped as well, and the Hermès monogram has been added to the front grille.  The eight-spoke, polished aluminum wheels also don the single H monogram and the fuel filler door is engraved with “Bugatti Veyron Fbg Par Hermès”.

Bugatti FPG Par HermesThe interior is all handstitched Hermès calfskin leather and has new internal door handles evocative of handles used on Hermès trunks. Also included is a Hermès wallet designed to fit inside the center console and a Hermès suitcase designed to fit inside the trunk.

In line with the Bugatti and Hermès heritage there are four color options which are “indigo blue and vermilion”, “indigo blue and lime green”, “black and garance red” and “Prussian blue and blue jean”.

Bugatti FPG Par HermesIt is seldom that we see the exotic car industry and high fashion world marry, let alone reproduce so flawlessly. For adrenaline highs of 200-plus and a piece of fashion history we say the Bugatti FPG Par Hermes is priceless. The duo is par excellence and we must have a Bugatti FPG for our personal collection. At the end of this year, for just $2.77 million you can add the exotic beaute to your collection too. To compliment your very own Bugatti FPG Par Hermes car (like it really needs any), you can get the matching Parmigiani Fleurier Bugatti watch!
