Lexus GS F to Offer More Power and Incredible Looks

Lexus GS F

Lexus is not simply idling after the success of the LFA supercar. Now that the Lexus RC F is hitting showrooms, the company is focusing on the next big thing. The Lexus GS F will be arriving around 2016, with more power and prestige than the RC F. While neither ladies can match the incredible LFA, they are attainable and able to compete in the exotic sports car market.

The Lexus GS F will be more aggressive, both in the looks and performance arenas than the outgoing RC F, shown above.

The Lexus GS F concept first emerged about a year ago, making the 2016 launch a reasonable guess. Most vehicles remain in the concept phase for approximately 3 years before hitting production. What we know about the Lexus GS F so far is that it should emerge as a tweaked version of the 5.0-liter V8 capable of ejecting 500 horses. Now that would be a fantastic daily commute! read more

Further Details for the Intriguing Arrinera Hussarya Supercar

Arrinera Hussarya supercar

Anything but awkward, the Arrinera Hussarya supercar hails from Poland. The concept first came out in 2011, and the official production model will hit showrooms next year. The first production run will be limited to just 33 units. Should those units prove to be a success, the small start-up company could begin to pick up speed and clients with the potential to bring a new brand to the market.

The Arrinera Hussarya is currently enduring methodical testing until next month. There will likely be a few further changes and tweaks as engineers make discoveries during the testing phase. As of now, the specs look like this: read more

A Ducati Powered Volkswagen XL Sport? Go On…

Ducati Powered Volkswagen

Rumors of a Ducati powered VW have piqued interest for years, and as it would turn out–they have a bit of truth backing them! Meet the Ducati powered Volkswagen XL Sport, the latest concept to display extreme lightweight efficiency paired with power.

How can anyone not be intrigued by the Ducati powered Volkswagen XL Sport? The interesting pairing has given rise to a new animal.

This is such a strange concept vehicle that we should just dive directly into the specs:

  • Power is derived from just one V-twin 1199 Superlegerra motorbike engine.
  • The motorbike engine produces 197 horses. This figure seems quite suitable for a bike, but how is it enough for a car?
  • Extreme weight control is the answer. The Volkswagen XL Sport tips the scales at a scant 1,962 pounds with a power-to-weight ratio of 9.95:1.
  • These factors enable the vehicle to achieve an impressive 168-mile per hour top speed.
  • The 0-60 sprint time is at 5.7 seconds. Redline occurs at 11,000 rpm.
  • Brand new chassis inspired by, you guessed it, motorsports. It is comprised of steel subframes and a carbon reinforced polymer shell.
  • This little lady is one of the most aerodynamic offerings from VW. With a coefficient drag of 0.258 and a 1.7 square meter face, there is certainly much to smile about.
  • Carbon ceramic brakes and other components work together to keep weight low and overall performance at peak levels.

It will be interesting to see how many changes the Volkswagen XL1 concept endures before reaching production, should it ever reach production. read more

Lamborghini Teases New Model Ahead of Paris Auto Show

Lamborghini currently sells only two models: The Lamborghini Aventador and the all-new Lamborghini Huracan. The Aventador is the beast of the brand, powered by a V12 engine kicking out 700+ horsepower, while the Huracan has pulled up to replace the flagship Gallardo with a V10. Now Lamborghini is hinting at a new model, possibly to be unveiled at the 2014 Paris Auto Show this October.

So far, all we have to go on is this tiny sketch, which could hardly be considered a rough draft. They know how to keep fans anticipating the next reveal.  read more

Go Big or Go Home? The Toyota C-HR Concept Has a Unique Look

Toyota C-HR concept

That vision in purple is the Toyota C-HR concept. The company is touting her as the subcompact crossover of the future. The vehicle will make a debut at the 2014 Paris Auto Show on October 2nd, where onlookers will get up-close and personal with it and then shed more light on the strange new animal.

The Toyota C-HR concept takes a few minutes to sink in. It is certainly a different approach to an SUV, and that color! Will it ever become popular?

The official details and specifications for the Toyota C-HR SUV will remain under wraps until the show. At this juncture, we have only these purple renderings to judge. It looks a bit like a Yaris blended with a Beetle and then forced itself onto an SUV chassis. It is quite a lot to take in and make sense of. It is not terrible, but some design aspects just do not seem to feel…right. For example, those dramatically oversized tail lamps are cool, just maybe on a different vehicle. read more

Vencer Sarthe Supercar Is Looking Less Awkward: Photos and Details

Vencer Sarthe

Not long ago, Dutch supercar startup Vencer began its quest to build a supercar. I made fun of the initial images of the Vencer Sarthe, because she deserved it and also deserved some tweaking. It seems that I was not the only one to feel that way, as the Sarthe is back and a lot less awkward following a bit of a re-imagining session.

These photos are showing the Vencer Sarthe in potential production trim. As you can see from the before and after photos, much improvement has been made to the Dutch darling. read more

The Peugeot Exalt Concept Mimics Sharkskin

Peugeot Exalt concept

Peugeot is back on the exotic car scene with its latest inspiration: The Peugeot Exalt concept. While this lady appears to be a long-legged BMW i8 blended with an Audi R8, she is a fierce peek at what the future of the marquee may hold. What is even more interesting is that you may want to pet her.

The Peugeot Exalt concept at a glance:

  • The two-tone exterior is predominantly bare steel, tapering off in the rear to a material that some say feels like sharkskin. It is a special textured material and I want to pet it.
  • The overall theme of steel and grainy wood feels luxe-industrial, if that is even a thing. It certainly gets more hipster points than the Prius, because the exquisite looking wood lining the cabin is actually repurposed newspapers. If that is not enough to turn the granola types on, there is an electric scooter tucked under the boot floor. You know, for extremely fast James Bond-esque escapes during rush hour traffic.
  • Power is derived from a dainty 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-banger paired with an electric drive system. The end result are 340 healthy horses driving all four wheels.
  • The way the engineers approached the cockpit controls is fascinating. Because the human brain can easily memorize up to seven items, the dials are arranged into smaller group clusters. Drivers do not want to be bothered with thinking while driving, they are much too busy watching Netflix. That was sarcasm, they are all occupied propping up their inflatable passengers to merge into the commuter lanes.

The stylish cockpit is modern chic meets “I am a pilot”.

Is that grainy wood really repurposed newspaper? If so, is it durable? So many questions. read more

Jaguar F-Type Project 7 is Sexy

Jaguar F-Type Project 7

Now that the Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicles Operations division has been formed, they are using ninja focus to perfect the sexy Jaguar F-Type Project 7 car. She is looking somewhat like the Jaguar XKR-S GT, which is not a bad thing.

The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 car has a pouty mouth and thirsty but nonaggressive air intakes. The shape is somewhat reminiscent of an Aston Martin, understated and elegant while still managing to be sporty. She is forming into a very attractive speedster, but let us examine what is lurking in the power and performance arenas to be sure. read more

Quant e-Sportlimousine
