Mansory Tuned Bugatti Veyron Vincero

Bugatti Veyron Vincero

When aftermarket tuner Mansory commits to a project, it typically turns out impressive. And by impressive, I mean expensive. When ultra-luxe carmaker Bugatti wants to drum up another few million–they simply release yet another ‘special edition’ supercar, of which there are many. Meet an odd mix of the two: the Bugatti Veyron Vincero, valued at a million over the stock Bugatti Veyron price!

Just 2 Enhanced Ferrari Supercars

enhanced Ferrari supercars

Supercars like Ferrari come fairly awesome standard, but there are always aftermarket tuners burning to add their own spin to the mix. Case in point: The Ferrari FF tuned by Wheelsandmore and the Ferrari 599 GTB with ADV.1 Wheels. These enhanced Ferrari supercars are noteworthy!

Ferrari FF tuned by Wheelsandmore

High-performance tuner Wheelsandmore fit the Ferrari FF hot hatch with a nice package. The German tuner modified the FF hatchback with various power upgrades:

  • ECU remap. This version takes the V12 engine from 660 horses up to 705. That is five more than the glorious Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4!
  • There is also an optional stainless steel exhaust with valves that control acoustics. While the stock one also offers this, this one is lighter.
  • Lowering springs take the FF down a notch, a full 1-inch closer to the pavement. Look out for those pesky speed bumps!
  • The project is finished off with a set of new shoes: A set of 6 Sporz forged wheels. Measurements are 21×9.5 in the front and 22×12 bringing up the rear.
  • The rims feature a carbon finish with a white outer disk and are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero rubber

Bugatti ‘Widow Maker’ Racer Hits Auction Block

Bugatti ‘Widow Maker’

A few days ago a rare Bugatti racer changed hands at auction. The Bugatti ‘Widow Maker’ racer changed hands for an undisclosed amount, though estimates ranged from $3.5 million and up. The full title is the 1931 Bugatti Type 54 Grand Prix, and it was driven by Achille Varzi on the racing circuit back in the day.

1930s Grand Prix races were held on high-speed tracks with many twists and turns. Phil Hill declared chassis 54201 the ‘scariest car’ he had ever raced.

The Widow Maker earned its nickname thanks to a heavy mix of power and design. Raced by Varzi in the 1931 Grand Prix at Monza, it boasts a robust Type 50 engine. Because of its massive power, straight eight and ladder frame chassis, it was a challenge to drive. Those facts paired with the fact that its first owner, Prince Jiri Lobcowicz, lost his life driving it at Avus all contribute to the unsavory nickname. The dramatic finale came when Count Stanislas Czaykowski lost his life in the 1933 Monza Grand Prix. read more
