WTF: BMW Recalls 241,000 3 Series Cars Due to Tenacious Texan

An unhappy Texan, Mark Peters, has campaigned for the recall of certain BMW 3 Series models due to faulty tail lamps and succeeded. The brand has recalled a colossal 241,000 3 Series cars sold between 2002-2005, following an investigation by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Well, at least the BMW 3 Series models in question did not burst into flames like the Ferrari 458 recall, what a nightmare!

BMW Bets on Lasers, How Austin Powers!

Dr. Evil demanded “sharks with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads” in the hit flick ‘Austin Powers’, and BMW apparently shares the sentiment, sans sharks! BMW is betting on laser technology, foreseeing that it will replace current LED headlamps. What a bright idea!

BMW Laser Technology

The next generation of our BMW rentals may have a very futuristic appearance! That is because a key advantage to lasers, aside from efficiency, are the unique design possibilities they allow. The small size of a laser eliminates the need for bulky head and rear lamps, because a laser headlight can shine through the cross sections of a grille, effectively hidden when not in use.

Exotic Car Thieves Hit with $500k Tax Bill

Three Polish men (insert joke) stole three luxury cars in Europe, including a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Sang Bleu, a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano and a BMW 7-Series.

These masterminds should have opted for an exotic car rental to quench their thirst for their favorite brands…as they now face approximately $522,000 in taxes resulting from the theft!  You see, any smugglers moving stolen goods through Germany are nailed with a 10% tariff and a 19% import tax because of their European Union membership.  This fine is in addition, of course, to legal consequences resulting from their crimes.  Ouchies.

Rumors Explode About Hydrogen Fueled Mercedes Models in 2014

Could it be?  Word is that luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is plotting the launch of a hydrogen-fueled luxury car as early as 2014! This is not a luxury car concept tall tale, but an actual production model ready to launch.

The Mercedes cars that run on hydrogen fuel cells could invade the market in just less than 3 years, taking the luxury hybrid race to the next level, yet adding an air of danger. Believed to be the most environmentally sound fuels so far, hydrogen fuels leave only water as residue.

Can Detroit Luxury Cars Compete in China?

It seems that Chinese buyers do not view Detroit’s Big 3 as a competitor in the exotic car segment.  So how will Detroit compete with the likes of Lexus, BMW and Mercedes to nab a slice of the lucrative luxury car market of China

Detroit Big 3

Detroit is certainly missing a big opportunity, as the Chinese luxury car market has been growing twice as fast as any other auto market.  Detroit automakers lack a certain credible entry into the market, because when the Chinese think of a luxury car, visions of German brands dance through their heads, and well, they consider the Cadillac a step down.

BMW Stomping Mercedes-Benz by Just 29 Sales

BMW Vs. Mercedes-Benz

BMW Vs. Mercedes-Benz

In the United States luxury car market, Lexus is no longer the leader in sales, after dominating it for several years.  BMW is now perched in first place, stomping Mercedes-Benz by a measly 29 sales.  This is a close race, with the luxury brands literally grill to grill fighting for American sales!

All it would take to change the score is for a company to purchase a few new BMW rentals or Mercedes rentals.  Could it be Imagine Lifestyles Luxury Rentals?
