P. Diddy on Soulmates Luxury Yacht Charter

The latest mega yacht charter features what is quite possibly the world’s most exclusive application.  Guests on luxury yacht charter “Solemates” are given an Apple iPad upon boarding, which they can use to control everything short of the captain’s steering wheel.

Guests of this mega yacht charter include high-profile celebs like P. Diddy and family, who spent just shy of $1 million dollars in one week aboard Solemates.  So how does Apple’s iPad enhance the luxury yacht charter experience?

Entertainer Pat Boone Purchases Luxury Estate on The Utopia Residential Ocean Liner

Legendary entertainer Pat Boone seems to have the right idea, as he has recently purchased a luxury residence aboard the Utopia Residential Ocean Liner.  I suppose a luxury yacht charter simply would not do!  So what exactly is the Utopia?
Utopia Residential Ocean Liner
Utopia is essentially a floating community, much like the World ResidenSea we have mentioned before.  Utopia actually means “An ideally perfect place, especially in its social, political, and moral aspects.  This is a very fitting name, considering the fact that Utopia is a mega yacht of not only massive proportions, but also colossal social and cultural aspirations.

Largest Cruise Liner Invades South Florida

With the arrival this month of yet another mega yacht charter that could be more accurately described as a floating city in Fort Lauderdale, the winter cruise season is officially under way in South Florida, and there appears to be more choice than ever, and more ships than ever.  This monster could swallow a private yacht charter whole!  Yet nothing compares to your own personal staff.

Allure of the Seas Cruise Liner

The gigantic new offering from Royal Caribbean is called the “Allure of the Seas” and is the twin sister of the world’s largest passenger liner, the “Oasis of the Seas”, which blew everyone away on its debut last year with its size and scope and luxury.  I think the next designer who tries to trump this bad boy should add a full sized racetrack, so passengers can race luxury rental cars on the open Ocean!  Hey, a girl can dream.

Ask Imagine: Ideas for the Perfect Proposal?

Dear Imagine Lifestyles,

I am a reader of your blog and a fan.  I am about to propose to my girlfriend of 2 years, and have been researching ideas for how to pop the question.  I have considered renting a luxury car, or maybe a private yacht for a day to surprise her.  What awesome proposals have you helped with in the past, and what do you recommend?  Any tips would be helpful.

Thanks,
Adam, Miami

2010 Monaco Yacht Show Promotes Environmental Awareness

This year marked the 20th Monaco Yacht Show, and it was a decidedly green tie affair!  Yes, luxury yachts and megayachts whisking their wealthy owners or yacht charter guests to the world’s most beautiful places, guzzling massive amounts of fuel along the way, are potentially sailing for greener pastures…er…seas.

The 2010 Monaco Yacht Show kicked off September 22nd with approximately 28,000 guests from the luxury yacht industry and Monaco business world squeezed into the area.  Around 100 superyachts were present on opening day, poised on the water to impress.  Issues like deforestation and carbon footprints will be highlighted and prioritized, which is wonderful with a larger crowd to absorb the message and new technologies!

The coveted Yacht Show Monaco is joining forces with the Foundation Prince Albert II to attack environmental hazards and bring awareness to them.  During the event, super yachts from around the world will converge on the scenic Riviera.  The Riviera is a small section that is actively working to reduce the carbon footprints emitted by the yachts that frequent its waters.

2010 Monacco Yacht ShowAccording to Luc Khaldoun, Commercial Director Europe from Fraser Yachts,

"Motivation is coming from all sides and some owners are really deeply concerned by environmental issues, particularly the more technically-minded owners."
It is cool that increased carbon-offsetting has been seen among participants at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.  The idea of offsetting is that a yacht’s greenhouse gas emissions are quantified and then balanced by an equal amount of emission reductions.  These reductions come from carefully scrutinized green energy projects around the world.

Newly launched megayacht ‘Exuma’ is making some green with envy, as it is the first of a new series of Vitruvius motor yachts built by Italy’s Pichiotti and Perini Navi and green, yet cutting edge.   It is a 50-foot yacht capable of accommodating ten guests and eight crewmembers, with a light aluminum hull designed to slash fuel consumption.  It is rumored that the Exuma yacht is designed to function with fuel efficiency similar to sail boats.  Very cool!

Take time out to sink your eyes into our fleet of luxury charter yachts Miami and South Beach on your way out!

Million Dollar Yacht Washes Ashore Empty at Redington Beach

A mystery yacht has washed up on Florida’s west coast on Wednesday, with the motor running and no one onboard.  Authorities have been unsuccessful in locating its owner, and the 48-foot Sea Ray Sundancer luxury yacht is valued at around $1 million dollars, according to the company website.

At this point of the mystery, authorities have located its previous owner, who sold it about two years ago.  Who knows how many times the vessel has changed hands after that sale, if any.  The luxury yacht is blue and white, with the name ‘Makin’ Waves’ and the most recent registration is out of Delaware.  Abandoned yacht is similar to one pictured at right.

There are two flags, a Mexican flag secured to the bow and an American flag at the stern.  Because the motor was running, and the strange circumstances of the abandoned yacht, foul play has not been ruled out, alth48' Sea Ray Sundancer Abandoned in Floridaough no immediate clues were available onboard and no missing persons have been reported at sea.
