Celebrate the 4th of July Miami Style!

If you are going to be in Miami or South Beach for the 4th of July this year, here is a list of places to celebrate!

• City of Miami Beach 4th of July Celebration. Here you can enjoy a unique and heartfelt demonstration of our independence. This event begins at 6:30 pm with the fireworks show at 9 pm. There will be music and many festivities along the stretch of beach at 8th street off Ocean Drive.

• Key Biscayne 4th of July Parade. This traditional parade features floats, music and fireworks, beginning along Crandon Boulevard at 11 am. This is an ideal event for the entire family!

• Old Fashioned July 4th at the Barnacle. Located at the historical Monroe House, this celebration will stretch from 11 am – 4 pm with children’s activities, kite making, knot demonstrations and other period-inspired activities. This is a day activity that will not offer fireworks, so think of it as an appetizer for one of the above-mentioned events.

Know that you can generally view Miami’s fireworks from most of the spots along South Beach, and to leave early because event parking can be an issue!
