Ducati motorcycles function to inspire and to awe.  The ‘R’ version is a race bike, with superior components and advanced electronics coupled with race-proven chassis technology to deliver the next level in motorcycle racing performance capacity.  So what distinguishes a Ducati from the rest?

In the world of high-performance motorcycles, a Ducati is distinctive, distinguishing you as a driver who understands bikes, similar to the driver of a Ferrari-spectators simply assume you are a “gearhead” and know what is top of the line. 

Both on and off the track, Ducati promotes drivers to a higher level of skill.  The road-going ‘R’ version is the closest thing to the stock race bike. 

 The 1198 series is a top-seller.  The 1198 R is not a replica, it is the real deal, sporting a 180 horsepower L-Twin Testastretta Evoluzione engine.  The Trellis chassis weighs in at about 2.2 pounds, and is equipped with Ducati Corse’s World Championship-winning traction control system.
