In Dubai, all that glitters is gold. That includes the exotic cars lining the streets. A very special gold plated Lamborghini Aventador in Dubai is expected to nab a staggering $7.5 million dollars at auction. The shocker? This glittering monstrosity has not even been built yet!
Gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador will be worth $7.5 million when it weighs down the auction block in Dubai. But first, it must be built!
The golden child has been given clearance by the Raging Bull. Word is that the creators behind the car hope to snag 3 Guinness World Records, including: most expensive car, most secure container and show case, and most expensive Lamborghini logo. The most expensive model ever made seems a touch unlikely with all of those special edition Bugatti Veyron cars out there. While a Lamborghini is a supercar in every sense of the word, it may never be the most expensive. The logo part has a fair shot, as it will be adorned with some pretty pricey gems, I am sure.

So who will buy this multi-million dollar gold-plated Lamborghini? This remains to be seen. The Lamborghini will be crafted from a 1,100-pound block of solid gold. An estimated $650,000 of the proceeds is intended for charity.
As of now the dream only exists in digital form. The actual car will be born from a five-axis milling machine to form an aluminum mold, which will be used for a carbon fiber mock-up prior to the real deal. The creator claims that gold does not have to be the precious metal used for the Aventador. He says if the price is right, he will switch to a buyer’s material of choice. Somehow, however, gold seems rather fitting for the streets of Dubai.
