Superbrands like Google, Coca Cola, and Apple have had to step aside for the supercars, as Ferrari has beat them all out for the title of ‘Most Powerful Brand in the World’! The exciting news came from a recent poll by brand valuation and marketing specialists at Brand Finance. Now the Horse has a bit more to prance about!
Ferrari has been named as the most powerful brand in the world in poll conducted by brand valuation and marketing specialists Brand Finance.
Ferrari must certainly be pleased to win this title, as the survey included the 500 most valuable brands, of which Ferrari raced quickly to the top. That left Apple and Samsung vying for second place, with Apple barely ahead of its long-time archrival.
These findings are a clear indicator of the popularity of the much-loved luxury supercar maker. Ferrari is a household name, one which even those with zero interest in automobiles are familiar. When most hear the word Ferrari, they instantly picture a sleek red sports car, which is an excellent example of branding as a whole.
Brand Finance CEO David Haigh spelled out the success clearly in a statement explaining branding: “Brand is one of many intangible assets which drive profitable growth. Technology, contractual, human capital and customer intangibles as well as general goodwill all drive overall corporate value. With revenues in the tens of billions, Apple and Samsung are slugging it out for global brand supremacy and are vying with each other to create strong ‘customer love’ for their brands. However, there are other brands in the Global 500 that though they may never challenge the brand value giants, are nonetheless extremely powerful and well-loved.”
Ferrari is an expert at staying ahead of the game
Full results will be published in Brand Finance on February 28th , and congratulations to Ferrari!
