Lorrie Stern is what you could describe as a ‘unique’ woman; the grandmother of five is an acrobatic pilot with a passion for luxury cars.  Stern owns a unique pink Lamborghini that has had quite the history, spanning some 37 years and including carpooling her children and winning the ‘Most Unique’ award at the prestigious Concours d’Elegance.  Lamborghini rentals and exotic car rentals Miami do not take that type of beating!

The 1974 Lamborghini Espada was a gift from Stern’s husband, one of 1,200 examples produced between 1968-1978.  Stern is a grandmother of five and an amateur acrobatic pilot, spinning loops in her Cessna Aerobat single-engine plane designed to handle higher loads and stunt flying.  Go grandma!

This Espada certainly took a beating, serving as a daily driver for Stern, her children and the neighborhood kids.  She mentioned that regulations were different back then, and that children often caught a ride in the trunk of the Lamborghini when the cabin space was full.  This was prior to ‘Click it or Ticket’, I presume.

The Lamborghini Espada is powered by a 350 horsepower V12 engine and features a 5-speed manual transmission.  The factory color was a bright green, and after over 100,000 miles of wear and tear, the Lamborghini spent two years in the shop receiving a much-needed tune-up and emerging a light pink.  Stern had the revamped Lambo sent directly to Monterey, California for the Conorso Italiano, where she was presented with a ribbon for the most unique, a category that they created just for the car. 

Kayne West’s squeeze, Nicki Minaj, rented this hot pink Lamborghini and hit the streets.
