A rare Rolls-Royce limousine once owned by Princess Margaret and Burt Reynolds (odd combination aside) has sold for around $34,000 at a luxury car auction in London.

The exclusive history of the 1975 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow long-wheelbase limousine certainly helped it earn such a sale price, considering the age.  This Rolls Royce limo was supplied to the personal order of the princess, and later owned by Reynolds.

Features of the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow include leather-trimmed interior door cappings, nuella black hide interior and cardinal red paintwork with gold coachlines, all requested by the princess.  The luxury limousine belonged to Reynolds from 1984 until recently; it was kept at his Florida ranch.

To end on an amusing note, the Rolls included carpeting fitted with ‘BR’, for ‘Burt Reynolds’, a monogram some thought it stood for ‘British Rail’.
