Watch out, Porsche! Dutch supercar maker Spyker is hinting at challenge with the new Spyker B6 Venator concept, just revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show! The B6 Venator is a contender to the Porsche 911 though it looks more like the lovechild of a Maserati and an Aston Martin.
The Spyker B6 Venator is a design marvel. Special styling cues give a nod to the marquee’s 1920s era aircraft, while maintaining modern Spyker styling cues.
The interesting name stems from Spyker’s 1920s aircraft. The B6 Venator also pays homage to that era with the following WWII aircraft design features:
- Jet engine inspired intakes
- Nostalgic propeller style wheels
- Glass canopy
- Exposed aluminum interior
- Instrument panel in cockpit
The Spyker B6 Venator concept
Power for this model is derived from a potent V6 petrol engine with 375bhp paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This is not quite a threat to the Porsche 911 Carrera S, the recalled Car of the Year. The Carrera S puts out 394bhp. I want to see a duel between the 911 Carrera S and the B6 Venator on an open stretch as soon as the Venator makes the jump from concept to conception.

Is the Venator a direct threat to cars like the new Porsche 911 and other top brands? It is still in concept form, so not quite yet.
Spyker’s B6 Venator goes way heavy on lightweight carbon fiber and the chassis is aluminum monocoque. Actual dimensions and weight are close to the Porsche Carrera.
