The Aston Martin Vulcan Is Proving Itself All Around the World

The track-only Aston Martin Vulcan has been busy proving its beast mode at events all over the world. The racer climbed the hill at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex and took on 2 flying laps at the 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium to help revv up the crowd prior to the start of the endurance race.

The Aston Martin Vulcan is a 7.0-liter 800 horsepower weapon. Just 24 units of the Vulcan are planned for production, and buyers will have to separate from around $2.3 million USD in order to own one of them. Some of the Aston Martin Vulcan’s siblings competed in the race, making it a fitting introduction indeed. Will the Vulcan participate in an endurance race soon? That remains to be seen. The Racing Group (TRG) has been busying itself developing an Aston Martin Daytona prototype. The California-based TRG team has partnered with Aston Martin Racing to form TRG-AMR North America, LLC. Their mutual goals are paving the way for a very exciting racing circuit.

Kevin Buckler, owner of TRG, described the Aston Martin Daytona prototype as follows: “The V12 engine sounds fantastic, but for what’s being developed, that’s not the exact package we’re looking at. There’s still a lot of work to be done, but the vision we’re aiming towards, if you want to try and picture it, is to have two DP cars coming down the front straight at Daytona that look like a prototype version of the GT3 car.” read more

Yes, the good people at Aston Martin will allow complete underlings the opportunity to train with world-class pro drivers, emerging as accomplished drivers themselves with a recognized racing license. The program is launching in the UK, where most drive a luxury car and control comfortable funds. Could the program expand to the U.S.?

Aston Martin Adds a 5th Car to Ambitious 2014 Le Mans Lineup

Aston Martin has added a fifth car to its already ambitious lineup for the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit! The classic endurance race organizer, Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO) has granted entry to a reserve car for Aston Martin. The reserve car for Aston Martin Le Mans is car 98. Recently, the brand paid homage to its GT4 racing success with the Aston Martin Vantage SP10 racer, which is a killer specimen.
