Victoria’s Secret Billionaire Sues Auction House Over Ferrari 375-Plus Sale

There seems to be trouble in paradise for well-respected luxury auction house Bonham’s. The billionaire behind Victoria’s Secret and other companies, Les Wexner, recently purchased a 1954 Ferrari 375-Plus at the Goodwood Festival of Speed auction hosted by Bonham’s. Now Wexner is suing due to a pre-existing dispute over the car’s ownership! Bonham’s states that the ownership dispute was resolved prior to the sale, yet Wexner claims he was not made aware of any of the story and claims the legalities continue. read more

Each year the Goodwood Festival of Speed celebrates all things automotive in festive style with a plethora of traditional events. One of those events is the annual Bonham’s auto auction, which netted an astronomical $39 million USD this year!

The photos are items from Bonham’s auction at the FOS this year. The offerings included a variety of automobile memorabilia from decades gone by. 

The 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed has certainly one-upped many of the previous years. This year hundreds of supercars, classic cars, never before viewed newbies and more gathered together to illuminate an already bright event. Perhaps it was the heady mix of too much power and fuel that led buyers to shell out a bit more at Bonham’s auction this year? The overall proceeds were steeper than the epic Hill Climb event at Goodwood. read more
