The much-discussed Jeep-based Maserati SUV has finally emerged in production form! Maserati took full advantage of this year’s Detroit Auto Show and Paris Auto Show to tout the new Levante SUV. The awkward ‘Kubang’ name was dropped in favor of ‘Levante’, but it is still based on a Jeep SUV platform.
Rumors suggest:
• That odd Jeep Grand Cherokee chassis (Also used in the Dodge Durango)
• Twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8
• 500 horses
