There is a new supercar hitting the scene to threaten those in the 250 mile-per-hour and up range: Meet the Trion Nemesis. If the name itself is any suggestion, the Trion Nemesis supercar intends to directly challenge the high-speed industry super beasts like Bugatti, Koenigsegg and more. But are they worth taking seriously? As of now, the Nemesis is in development. There is but one way to decide, let’s analyze the intended specs.
The Trion Nemesis at a glance:
- They plan to power the Nemesis with a special twin-turbocharged V8 designed to produce 1973bhp.
- The top speed predictions are 270+, which would leave even Hennessey a bit weak in the knees.
- The 0-60 mile per hour jump will be a claimed 2.8 seconds, which would make it a blistering rival to…well…everyone.
Should the Trion Nemesis leave the gate with the specifications above, it will be a predator in its class. It will be competing and able to anhialate the likes of the Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg One, and even the Hennessey Venom GT. The goal of Trion is to produce an “advanced ultra-luxury, high-performance line of vehicles designed around the driver.” To put it simply, they want to build an engine capable of demolishing the pride of competitors that looks good enough to attract plenty of buyers. We will just have to wait to see what comes from this ambitious newcomer in the next year. The American-based startup has hinted at a prototype release within a few months.
