Top Luxury Sports Cars of 2009

Yes, it is time to begin a new year once again, which means taking a retrospective look back on 2009 while we head into 2010.  2009 was an interesting year for luxury cars, and here are our picks for the top 5 luxury cars of 2009:

1.    Lexus LFA
2.    Bugatti Veyron 16.4
3.    Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce
4.    Ferrari F430 Spider
5.    Aston Martin One-77

The Lexus LFA.  This year Lexus presented us with its first-ever attempt at a supercar-the LFA.  This exotic supercar was designed to excite, and to perform-featuring a unique 4.8-liter V10 powerplant rich in motorsport technology.  Imagine Lifestyles had the exclusive opportunity to test drive this beast on the Homestead speedway during the North American Lexus LFA debut, and it hits the 0-60 mark in 3.6 seconds, with a top speed of around 202 miles per hour.  And it looks good while doing it, the LFA boasts sleek lines and oozes luxury-follow link for details on the Lexus LFA interior

Bugatti Veyron 16.4
.  The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is the most recent version of the luxury brand’s mBugatti Veyron 16.4 id-engine, full-sized grand touring car.  It was developed by Volkswagen and produced by the VW brand Bugatti Automobiles SAS at their headquarters in Chateau St. Jean in Molsheim, France.  The Bugatti 16.4 has bragging rights as the second fastest car in the world, hitting the 0-60 mark in about 2.6 seconds, pinning passengers to the expensive interior.  At speeds like that, you can go ahead and pass Batman.  This supercar boasts a W16 engine- which is composed of 16 cylinders, 4 banks of 4 cylinders fed by 4 turbo-chargers and a dual-clutch DSG computer controlled manual transmission.  That was a mouthful.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 Superveloce.  Wow, the name alone is a paragraph in length!  This long-awaited exotic car came to us as a vision in yellow at the 2009 Geneva Auto Salon.  The classic Lamborghini lines have undertaken an aggressive makeover in this version, with a slick carbon fiber update.  The Lamborghini Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperveloceLP670-4 Superveloce features a V12 engine with an output of 670 horsepower, which is plenty of power to indulge and impress.  We love the gullwing doors, and the Alcantara and carbon fiber interior.  So big deal if there are only 350 of these amazing exotics set to hit production, you can always indulge in a Lamborghini LP640 rental to sooth your senses!

Ferrari F430 Spider.  2009 was a spectacular year for us at Imagine Lifestyles, as we have been adding to our fleet-like this new Ferrari F430 Spider (follow link for photos and pricing).  This luxury convertible rental follows in the footsteps of the Ferrari F430 coupe, and has been a stunning success.  While it is a touch slower than the coupe due to the convertible aspect, drivers who crave a topless exotic do not mind the few seconds shaved off.  This is the perfect exotic rental car Miami, with fair weather year-round and that bright red Ferrari finish.

Aston Martin One-77.  Aston Martin continued to wow us this year with the introduction of the One-77.  This 700 horsepower exotic comes out of the gate with the full capacity to race with the best of them.  Also making its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Aston Martin One-77 has managed to seamlessly blend luxury with racecar stamina and capacity-no easy feat.  And not easy on the wallet-with a lofty price tag of $1.4 million.  The OnAston Martin One-77e-77 features a 7.3-liter V12 Cosworth engine, carbon-ceramic brake rotors, and hits the 0-60 mark in 3 seconds with a top speed of about 200 miles per hour.  The name “One-77” is significant, because only 77 of these supercars will be manufactured, and according to the rumor mill, hundreds are already attempting to order.  Again, no need for tears, there is always a suitable Aston Martin rental for you to comfort yourself in!
