Vending machines, most of us have used them.  Yet at the Mondrian Hotel in stunning South Beach, the concept of the vending machine has been taken to an entirely new level-to the top actually.  The vending machine at the Mondrian is a luxury vending machine.  Yes, you did read that correctly.  Guests can obtain high dollar items without venturing from the hotel lobby-we know shopping can be exhausting.

You see, the Mondrian truly grasps the meaning of luxury, and literally displays it with its extraordinary vending machine, where you can purchase everyday items such as, oh I don’t know, a genuine Rolex watch or a designer scarf. 

The Mondrian goes above and beyond to respect the privacy of its guests, and for that reason these items are not put gaudily on display, but rather, are hidden from prying eyes in discreet decorative packaging (see photo).

As a matter of fact, when staying at the Mondrian Hotel to attend the official North American Introduction for the Lexus LFA supercar, I had to actually inquire where the vending machine was located because it is camouflaged to blend in with the hotel décor, and tucked neatly out of sight. 

The machine features a monitor where guests can discreetly punch in what they are seeking, and no one need know what that something was.
