The savvy minds at Bentley carefully selected a party in West Hollywood and the 2014 LA Auto Show to reveal the ravishing 2015 Bentley Grand Convertible. I must say that the name is quite refreshing in an era of endless numbers and rather lengthy surnames! This model is far from just a vision in blue with a direct name, however, as she offers power and prowess for the elite while maintaining a distinct sense of traditional motoring.

The 2015 Bentley Grand Convertible hit the LA Auto Show and has been creating a media frenzy in its wake. Is she the best drophead so far? 

In its rawest form, the 2015 Bentley Grand Convertible is a topless Mulsanne. The striking sequin blue coat lures the eye, but it is the powertrain that holds the attention. The Grand Convertible boasts a thirsty biturbo 6.75-liter V8 engine capable of releasing 530 horses loose on the streets. That is the same engine found in the Bentley Mulsanne, 811 pound-feet of torque, impeccable response and handling.

The cabin of the Bentley Grand Convertible features fresh white diamond quilted Beluga leather. Accenting the white out is exquisite Burr Walnut in the largest cut ever to grace a Bentley. When describing the exterior color design, Bentley stated: “Resplendent in Sequin Blue, originally a bespoke color created from a single sequin from a customer’s haute couture gown, the Grand Convertible features a silver liquid metal finish to the bonnet and windscreen frame.” That explains why the convertible Bentley became the belle of the ball in Los Angeles.

The wood grain is impeccable. Notice the detailing and how there is never an awkward connection in the swirls of wood.
