2012 Lamborghini Jota Spied at Nurburgring

Lamborghini’s next big one, the 2012 Jota, has been spotted at Nurburgring recently.  The Jota, codename LB715-5, is to be the replacement for the much loved Murcielago model, and should be officially released at the Geneva Auto Salon in March 2011 and is currently under testing and performance analysis.

Lamborghini Jota 2012

The 2012 Lamborghini Jota will be more fuel-efficient than the Murcielago, inline with current trends.  This luxury car features two special flaps on the rear end, which are part of a wing covering the rear, revealing itself only at higher speeds.  It is located just above the taillights and it is not clear if it also acts as an airbrake.   This lamborghini may be the perfect sports car to to add to a fleet of Miami exotic car rentals.  I am sure if a luxury rental car company got a hold on this lamborghini now they would charge astronomical fees for this pre production lamborghini rental car.

Specs of the 2012 Jota include an all-new 7.0-liter V12 direct injection engine kicking out 700 horsepower and 516 pound feet of torque.  It will be a fun supercar to drive, with a seven-speed double clutch transmission.  This Lamborghini nails the 0-60 mark in less than 3 seconds and tops out at over 220 miles per hour.  It boasts a bespoke carbon composite chassis and the aggressive aerodynamic shape that Lambo is known for.

There are two air ducts next to the engine hood on the 2012 Lamborghini Jota, just above the two back tires.   The ducts are located within the bodywork on the Jota, and behind the side windows on the Murcielago.   It seems to be right on track time wise with testing, and we are all ready for the official release.
