The next James Bond film, Spectre, shall star the Aston Martin DB10 alongside with 007. Aston Martin collaborated with the producers of Spectre to create the completely custom Aston Martin DB10. Just ten examples of the car will be made for use and potential destruction in the film.
The completely bespoke James Bond DB10 revealed.
Some of the DB10 cars will end up like this. You know, for science..
The press release for the special Aston Martin DB10 stated: “The DB10 gives a glimpse to the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martin cars.” The car is certainly striking, and caused a stir of relief amongst rumors that 007 would be rolling dirty in a Fiat 500. The Fiat 500 could still have a cameo in the James Bond film, but it is not going to steal the show from Aston Martin.
Aston Martin luxury cars have starred as the vehicle of choice for James Bond in 11 films over a 50-year period. The relationship between Bond and Aston Martin is a close one, with the names sometimes synonymous.
The Aston Martin DB10 car for ‘Spectre’ at a glance:
- While 007 is a true master of disguise, the Aston Martin DB10 is not. It is exactly what it appears to be: A reimagined Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
- While a new powertrain is coming soon for future models, the DB10 will pack the same hearty little 4.7-liter V8 found in the Vantage.
- The tweaks are purely aesthetic, and will look sensational on screen.
Overall, the Aston Martin DB10 is a preview of things to come from the brand in the near future. While the design of the cars will remain quite recognizable, there will be some sleek new design cues emerging along with changes in the power department. The next Bond film will come out sometime next year, possibly coinciding with a new model release with full details!
