For the more adventurous traveler, there will now be a Ferrari theme park nestled in stunning Barcelona. This is the chance to stay in a resort molded into the shape of an F1 front wing and experience Europe’s fastest and highest vertical accelerator, among other attractions. The only thing that could make this scenario better would be for each guest to receive a complimentary Ferrari rental for the duration of their stay at the resort.

Ferrari theme park to open at Port Aventura resort near Barcelona

The Ferrari theme park will be dubbed Ferrari Land and will feature more than enough thrills to keep guests revved up. Highlights include the following:

• Ideal location at the Port Aventura resort near Barcelona.
• 250-room hotel shaped like the front wing of a Formula One car will serve as the Prancing Horse’s first 5-star resort.
• Full details have not been disclosed, but we expect great things from the brand and the region.

While Ferrari Land will only be about one-third the size of lavish Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi, it will attempt to compensate with speed and a few new offerings. The park is slated to open to the public sometime in 2016 and will sprawl over 75,000 square meters. Ferrari Land is being built by private investors under a license from Ferrari.

There has been much interest in Ferrari expanding its theme park to other areas around the globe, and this could mean there could eventually be one in the United States. There is a need for theme park options with supercar inspirations…the world can only take so much of the mouse. We can only hope…and that is my rumor to start.

Now Ferrari World will not be the only Ferrari theme park out there!
