The Lamborghini Aventador has been wildly successful. The brand has produced a staggering 2,000 examples of the Aventador in just two years. To put that figure into perspective, the Lamborghini Murcielago emerged in 2001 and it did not reach that figure until 2006! With the hypercar available in both coupe and convertible forms, there is something for every type of Lamborghini buyer.
Lamborghini unloads thousands of Aventador models in just 24 months. It took the brand almost 6 years to sell that many Murcielago models.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 churns out 700 horses, hence the name. The abundance of power and refreshing exterior styling cues has coupled to become quite the crowd pleaser. So who purchased the lucky 2,000th Aventador? AT&T Chief Intelligence Officer Thaddeus Arroyo. That means the car will be in the United States. Arroyo also owns a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 spyder. He was so taken with the Aventador during a test-drive at a Lamborghini event in Palm Beach that he ordered one.
The Aventador is aggressive and versatile
The Aventador has accumulated an impressive stash of awards in its short existence. The most memorable photo that comes to mind is of the parade of Aventadors taking over Miami’s South Beach last year.
Reaching 2,000 units in such a short period of time is quite a milestone for Lamborghini. It seems the Aventador simply sells itself! Overall, the brand has set no specific number of units to be created, and continues to take orders for both coupe and convertible Aventadors. It seems the model will have a successful and lengthy run!
Remember the one-off and interesting Lamborghini Aventador J? Try driving at high speeds without a windshield.
