To all my late-night television-loving fans, I have a bit of news on Conan O’Brien.  Amid much controversy and media frenzy, Conan seems to be stabilizing into his new network and timeslot, and apparently new living situation.

Upon finding his new home on television, at TBS, Conan has been marketing his luxury digs in order to literally find a new home, closer to the office I presume.  Conan’s luxury home on New York’s upper west side is reportedly in the closing stages for a sale of nearly $30 million.  This comes on the heels of Conan pocketing $32 million when he left NBC’s “The Tonight Show”, under acrimonious terms, so I guess you could say the man is not doing to shabby in the financial department.

Yes, it seems Conan O’Brien has nearly unloaded his oversized duplex in the luxurious Majestic, a co-op across from the fabled Dakota, for approximately $30 million, according to the Wall Street Journal.  The posh property includes apartments on the 17th and 18th floors, which were combined to form one mammoth unit, featuring 7 bedrooms, 8.5 baths, 3 terraces, and 2 libraries, according to broker John Burger from Brown Harris Stevens.

If and when the sale reaches fruition, it will claim the title of ‘most expensive sale ever’ for the building.  Four years ago, the ex-spouse of George Soros paid $25 million for an apartment on the 19th floor, according to the Wall Street Journal.
His new show is expected to debut in November, airing just prior to the hit show “Lopez Tonight” starring George Lopez, which will move to midnight.

Since his departure from NBC in February, Conan has joined Twitter and embarked on a nationwide comedy tour covering 32 cities.  Recently Conan tweeted,

"The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November! The bad news: I’ll be playing Rudy on the all new Cosby Show."
