Mercedes-Benz just got a little bit cooler…if that was possible. The luxury company has joined forces with Eurocopter and presented upon the world a luxury helicopter of grand proportions!
This is truly exciting news for luxury fans worldwide. It is the first product by Eurocopter in the new Mercedes-Benz style range. The companies jointly unveiled the EC145 luxury helicopter May 4th at the European Business Aviation Convention in Geneva. 
The EC145 luxury helicopter is intended for both business and private travel, boasting optimum comfort. The seats are made from exclusive materials and elegant wood coats the floor and ceiling, for a truly exotic interior. In fact, the interior of this luxury helicopter feels more like a Mercedes-Benz than a chopper, which would make sense, as it was actually designed by the designers at Mercedes!
The ambient interior lighting was borrowed from the Mercedes E Class and S-Class cars, and comes in various colors and adjustments.
The EC145 helicopter is multi-functional and configurable, seating up to 8 passengers in style and comfort. The seats are mounted on rails, allowing them to be adjusted and arranged quickly and easily to accommodate any group and luggage.
Entertainment options include a 15-inch monitor and DVD player, cup holders and a table, almost unheard of in a helicopter! Need to hold a meeting? No problem, there is a partition wall to separate the cockpit from the cabin, with fully retractable windows.
It would certainly seem that this helicopter has adopted the traits of the R-Class Mercedes in terms of space and versatility. This first of its kind luxury helicopter brings together the talents of a leading corporate and business helicopter designer with the luxury of one of the world’s leading luxury carmakers to provide a new precedent in helicopter travel options! Now if they could just make a Mercedes that can fly…
