Mercedes SLK
Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz is set to unleash three new models in Taiwan on May 21st, including the C-Class, CLS and SLK. The introduction will be an all-out event, called “Mercedes-Benz UNLEASH” and will be held at Taipei Arena. Here fans can view the newest available models and future Mercedes rentals to hit the scene.
Mercedes is leaving this event open to fans and owners of all ages, hoping to attract a new generation of interest. The marketing approach offers “different personalities” for the new models, and a performance by three local rock stars to entice the younger generation.
Mercedes C-Class luxury sedans
All three Mercedes models to be launched in Taiwan are high-end, with the C-Class luxury sedans, CLS sedan and SLK luxury coupe. With the various types of body style and driving purposes available, the brand can reach a multitude of potential buyers.

But will sales in Taiwan be adversely affected by the new luxury tax on imported cars? Starting June 1st, 2011 there will be a 10% luxury tax imposed on cars imported to the region, just like the luxury tax in India. Area residents have deep pockets and have displayed a willingness to spend, but some worry that the new tax will lead buyers down a different road over time.
Don’t miss your chance to drive a flashy Mercedes rental in a city near you and experience first-hand the latest models!
