Now the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG is not the only member of the family packing a V12. The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 boasts a twin-turbocharged V12 pushing out 523 horses and some exclusive tech additions. The new model took the stage this week at the start of the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
The 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 has made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show. The sleek sedan offers all the prestige of the brand with plenty of power to back it up.
The engine for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S600 is a 6.0-liter V12 rather than the 5.5. This makes it the most potent of the next-generation S-Class. Keeping up with future trends, the model boasts a fuel-conserving stop-start system and a 7G-Tronic Plus seven-speed automated transmission.
The list of standard features for the S600 is fantastic, including:
- The Driving Assistance Package
- Magic Body Control suspension with Road Surface Scan
- Features like Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Cross Traffic Assist, Pre-Safe Brake with Pedestrian Recognition, Steering Assist autonomous driving and more.
- There is also an optional treat for those residing in frigid climates: A windshield heating system capable of de-icing it in a shocking amount of time. Goodbye, ice scrapers and frozen fingers!
The lavish cabin has it all–including rear entertainment
This model will hit showrooms in the next few months, with pricing to be announced. Would this model make a good addition to our fleet of Mercedes-Benz rentals? With all of that technology and those good looks, it is certainly worth considering.
