Chicago Scene Party 2011

If you are in the Midwest and think that a day of luxury boats and bikinis means that you must fly to Miami or LA, think again!  Chicago happens to border Lake Michigan, one of the largest lakes in the country, and home to the annual Chicago Scene Party, billed as a ‘Wet and wild day at floating Mardi Gras’!

You can expect great things from a floating party in the Second City!  There is nothing quite like Chicago in the summer.

This year’s Chicago Scene Party will be held on July 31st, 2011.  This is a fabulous event to kill the downtime between July 4th and Labor Day.

Reviews of this event vary, and while most love it, there are some who warn that the entire ‘Playpen’ area is a no-wake zone, and that every watercraft within will be boarded and inspected by the Chicago Police Marine Unit or Coast Guard.  Plus there are complaints that they kick everyone out by 8pm, but with it being a day event, that is not a problem for most.
