BMW Unleashes 1 Series Models Green Cars Leaving More Green in the Pockets of Europeans

BMW Luxury Green Car
People are often passionate about our duty to develop innovative ways to sustain our environment, and reduce negative global impact and habits.  BMW has dreamt and delivered a little green dream-pulling out all stops to develop its impressive line of gas and diesel smart cars in Europe, and soon to the U.S. So what is so different about this line?

A sharp and forward-functioning automaker, BMW enlisted a plethora of green additions when crafting the 1 Series.  The 120i and the 118d are both equipped with Brake Energy Regeneration and Auto Start Stop Function.  While the 120i averages 30 mpg highway, the 118d is a 2.0L four-cylinder turbo diesel capable of an exhilarating 52 mpg.  (Now that I have your attention)…

The 1 Series maintains the integrity and innate signature style that is BMW- without sacrificing performance.  The 120i accelerates from 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds, not too shabby for a 2.0L, 4-cylinder, 170-hp hybrid.
While BMW does not currently market its 4-cylinders in the States, there is chatter that it may do so in the foreseeable future as its clientele base becomes increasingly environmentally conscious.

And this is spectacular news, because BMW’s Efficient Dynamics program has recently announced the future sale of its most fuel-efficient model yet-the 316d Saloon. This mean green machine will feature a 2.0L, four-cylinder diesel, also averaged at 52 mpg, while emitting a mere 118 grams per kilometer of CO2.  Did I mention you can spend about 800 miles of quality time with your car between fill-ups?

Say goodbye to low mpg’s with a smart car
