Design plans include The Mansion at Churchill Downs (located on the 6th floor of the expansive clubhouse), a venue blending the past and present of auto racing with panoramic views and concierge style services. It seems strange to name a single floor “the Mansion”…but who am I to judge? There will also be a new media center, relocation and renovation of the track’s Gold Room.

Now the well heeled will have a new place to play, and air-out those giant eye-catching hats…

The Mansion at Churchill Downs is slated to be ready for the 2013 Spring Meet and 139th years of the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby. Dates for those events are May 3rd and 4th, if you are interested in attending.

Renovations should be complete in time for the 2013 renewals of the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks.
