In spite of a string of exploding models and fires that stirred up negative media attention for the all-new prancing pony, the 458 Italia is hot off the press again, this time for snagging the “2011 Car of the Year” from the Robb Report. 

To defend Ferrari, a favorite brand of ours, the issue was resolved quickly and no lives were lost.  The culprit of the Ferrari 458 fires was discovered to be a new adhesive that was burning up at high speeds (follow link for full story).  Ferrari is replacing the handful of 458 models that caught on fire, and the hot issue has been corrected for all future models.   

 

Moving forward, the Ferrari 458 Italia truly is an outstanding exotic car and luxury car rental.  The Robb Report praised the 458 Italia as a  “shocking demonstration of just how much improvement can be brought to an already near-perfect sports car.”
