Luxury car brands are typically good at making amazing exotics…and keeping the concept cars under wraps until the right auto show springs up! Lucky for us, they do sometimes slip, like Aston Martin recently, when the cover slipped from the next model! This is rumored to be the DB9 replacement with quite a few alterations and a name switch.

The DB9 replacement shall resemble the AM310 concept, but may carry on the Vanquish name

The Aston aesthetics…tweaked a bit, but always recognizable

The prototype was caught without camo in public by Automobile Mag, sporting cues from the AM310 (which was introduced at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este just last month). The shape and front end are the same, but the busted egg crate grille has been replaced. It is similar to the uber-exclusive Aston One-77 supercar, of which just 77 examples exist.

The telltale badge on the rear of the AM310 reads Vanquish, which indicates that will be the name when the concept hits showrooms. The official unveil will be at the Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance this August, which neatly marks Aston’s 100th anniversary! Specifications should include the same thunderous 5.9-liter V12 from the DB9, Virage and DBS, but with weight reduction and more horses.
