The 2010 Maruti Kizashi Goes from Concept to Reality

Maruti Suzuki first unveiled the Kizashi in concept form back in 2007 at The Frankfurt Motor Show, and was showcased again in 2008 in New Delhi.  It appears now that the gorgeous luxury car is going to make it to production after all, set to launch this year in India.

The company has been desperately trying to dispel rumors that it is somewhat inept in the luxury car department, and what better way to do it than with a crossover sports 2010 Maruti Suzuki Kizashi Luxury Sedansedan.   The Kizashi is definitely a looker, but let’s look at what is under the hood.

The Maruti Kizashi will be powered by a 2-liter turbo diesel engine or a four-valve turbo fired 2-liter petrol Euro V engine.  It will likely feature a six-speed transmission.

It sits on sleek 21-inch allow wheels, which provide a glam appeal to the lightweight and tough looking sports car.  It is expected to roll out on those wheels from its Manesar, India plant at some juncture in 2010.  We are curious what the market conditions will be, and if it will be well received among its intended buyers, or suffer a grueling fate.
