Imagine Lifestyles Chicago’s Top 5 Luxury Restaurants

Imagine Lifestyles Chicago Sunda RestaurantAsian-  Sunda (110 W. Illinois)  This River North hot spot has quickly become the most sought after culinary experience for those craving fine Asian cuisine.  Sunda truly is an Asian fusion restaurant as it incorporates aspects of Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and more.  Unlike other restaurants that try to accomplish multiple Asian cuisines at once and fall short, Sunda, exceeds and then some.  Their extensive sushi bar offers nothing but the freshest and most creatively modern take on sushi.  Their specialty libations such as the “Wasabi H2O” will make any other cocktail list feel quite boring.

Italian- Carmine’s (1043 N. Rush St.) This is an oldie but a goody.  I selected this ristorante not only is it part of the great Rush St. social scene, but because it truly has some of the best authentic Italian in the city.  The wine list is spectacular with many great Italian selections.  Pretty much everything on the menu is top-notch Italian fare.  My favorites are the stuffed mushrooms, the hearty chopped salad and the rigatoni alla vodka.  The outdoor seating in the summer is the place to be, and the location is the perfect place to park your luxury rental car that Imagine Lifestyles Chicago will set you up with.

Mexican/Latin- Topolobambo (445 N. Clark St) Celebrity chef Rick Bayless opened this restaurant 2 decades ago and it remains the most prestigious Mexican cuisine in Chicago.  The dining room is absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel as if you’re in an Aztec heaven.  The menu is completely unlike anything you have seen in any other Mexican restaurant.  Absent are the tacos, burritos, and fajitas.  In their place you have Borrego in Mole Negro (“lamb "ribeye" in classic Oaxacan black mole”) and Pescado con Dos Chiles Y Uchepos (“Smokey Walleye with roasted arbol chile peanut salsa”).  There can definitely be a long wait at this establishment, so it can’t hurt to roll up in our new Lamborghini Gallardo rental car to push you to the front of the line.

Steakhouse- David Burke’s Primehouse (616 N. Rush St.)  There are a ton of great steak houses in Chicago, however we chose Primehouse because it’s new and fresh and doesn’t have the stuffy classic steakhouse feel.  It possesses the most prime and dry aged beef that you can get in the Midwest, and also has the “scene” that we at Imagine Lifestyles love.  It has all of the traditional steak house accoutrement, just doctored up a bit.  Some of the best sides are chipotle cream corn with cilantro, white truffle fries, and lemon confit asparagus.  Next time you’re in a carnivorous mood, Primehouse needs to be your next stop.

American Contemporary- Perennial (1800 N. Lincoln) This newer restaurant is the perfect fusion of posh nouveau American cuisine with time tested traditional favorites.  It’s the only one of our locations that is in Lincoln Park, proving there is culinary wealth beyond the Gold Coast and River North.  The ambiance is serene yet tantalizing.  It’s almost as if you’re in a floral zen-like paradise. There are trees actually lining the inside of the space. The food is sublime.  My absolute favorites on the menu are the goat cheese tart with roasted baby beets, and the grilled Atlantic Salmon with butternut squash and caramelized Brussels sprouts.   You will leave here thoroughly satisfied and with a strange desire to do some yoga.  Imagine Lifestyles Chicago Perennial Restaurant
