$500,000 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Crashes

David Thompson likely did not have an exotic car crash in mind when he dropped $100,000 on modifications for his $400,000 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Unfortunately, he allowed his rally car driver son, Ian Thompson, and his navigator Karl Francis to drive the machine at a racing event…leading to what is likely a total loss!

Aston Martin Crash

The Aston Martin crash scene

This reminds me of a much younger driver who borrowed pop’s car and crashed it…the 10-year-old who crashed a Maserati in Hong Kong! Follow link for full story.

The boys hit a concrete barrier traveling at approximately 100 miles per hour—and are quite fortunate to be breathing! RallySport magazine reported that Francis was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital and was diagnosed with a dislocated pelvis.

Aston Martin WTH

WTH happened with this V8 Vantage?

Thompson walked away from the high-speed rally crash without a scratch! We will have to check back to see if they survived the wrath of dear ole’ dad…

Shockingly, dad David stated,
"Ivan is probably a better driver than me, as much as I hate to admit it publicly."
Dave…I would certainly never admit that publicly…or even alone on the couch watching Top Gear…seriously.
