A half scale model of a 1926 Bugatti Type 35B is being offered by Bonham’s (if it has not been sold).
The bespoke children’s toy was completely handcrafted and is powered by a 24-volt electric motor and car battery with recharging system. The kiddie car is capable of moving forward and in reverse and boasts a steel box section chassis and aluminum composite body. It measures 7 feet in length and 3 feet in width with a bright red finish that is ideal for Christmas.
Every effort was made to mimic the real Bugatti Type 35B in mini form.
The interior of the kids 1926 Bugatti Type 35B is laden with black leather seating and the effect is finished off with a set of steel wheels. Details like a brass radiator surround and cap add an authentic vibe to the toy. The mini Bugatti Type35B is expected to attract bids from all around the world.
The real Bugatti Type 35B made its debut in 1927 as the final version of the series. It packed a 2.3-liter engine like the Type 35T and a supercharger, kicking out 138 horses. The toy is not exactly a Flintstones variety, reliant on foot-power, which makes it worth the money as a collector’s item and cherished gift.
