With people around the globe clamoring for delivery of their Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 supercars, the company has been putting the pedal to the metal in order to fill orders, building 1,000 units over the past 15 months. To put this feat into proper perspective, it took them nearly 3 years to reach that milestone with the Murcielago.
The Aventador model reached the 1,000-unit milestone in just 15 months of production
Of course, production speed directly correlates with orders placed, among other factors. Between the years of 1966 and 1973, Lamborghini produced just 763 examples of the V12 Miura, so things seem to be accelerating for the luxury brand!
Lamborghini builds fewer than 5 Aventadors each day
Other V12 Lamborghini production stats include:
• 2,898 Diablo models between 1990 and 2001
• 4,099 Murcielago models between 2001 and 2010
The interior of an Aventador. Not the typical supercar!
To commemorate its special place in Aventador production history, the 1,000th car was coated in that fabulous Argos Orange. The lucky recipient, German architect Hans Scheidecker, received delivery directly from Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann—an honor, indeed! The exterior color is loud, and car 1,000 packs the same 700 horsepower 6.5-liter V12 hyper engine as the rest of the family.

Yes–it is a popularity contest!
