It was surprising how such a diminutive car was able to successfully gain the love and devotion of so many people, and so rapidly, yet the Mini Cooper achieved just that.  Now, a new concept for a Mini Coupe has been revealed-leaving fans to revel and drool.

The Mini Coupe is still in the concept phase, yet it seems that if it never makes it to the production line there will be many fans kicking and screaming much like 3-year olds. 

To commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the Mini’s release, the Mini Coupe Concept was drafted.  Look at this coupe-it is alluring in much the same way as the recent Mini Cooper designs.  It is powered by the same 1.6-liter twin-scroll turbocharged engine as its predecessor, with 211 horsepower and heavy mass appeal. 

The undiluted brand expression is apparent in the new concept, the same sporty and ambitious style of motoring and lightweight construction.  This two-seater would bring joy to the many dedicated Mini fans all over.

On the green side, this concept car clearly adheres to the BMW Group’s EfficientDynamics development strategy of lower emissions and more driving pleasure.  While the Mini Coupe is a far cry from a luxury car like a Ferrari, its popularity and following cannot be ignored.  I suppose I would agree with the minimalist philosophy of the Mini, and would add that a little bit goes a long way!
