German auto tuner Brabus was not satisfied with the Mercedes-Benz AMG, so they created the Brabus 800 roadster. This 800 horsepower beast was engineered in a wind tunnel for superior aerodynamics, and Brabus claims it is the most powerful roadster.
The Brabus 800 is being touted as the most powerful SL65 AMG. It offers a blistering performance in comparison to the already impressive standard fare.
The Brabus 800 roadster uses the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG as a base. The AMG base model is a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 kicking out 621 horses, but that was simply not enough. The Brabus version hits the 0-60 jump in 3.7 seconds with a blistering top speed of 217 miles per hour. The top speed is electronically limited, leaving the aftermarket roads wide open for possibilities.
It is a stunning machine, though a bit front-heavy in appearance. If the rear were any slimmer, it could likely do a head-stand.
The Brabus 800 boasts a painstakingly developed aero kit that goes way heavy on the carbon fiber, of course. Carbon fiber is the material of the millennium, it would certainly seem. It manages to be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Exterior options include matte or a high-gloss finish. The finished product sits on special 20-inch tires to complete the look. The specs align this model with supercars rather than just exotic coupes, making it a car you could drive to the office or take to the track on the weekend.
