The Bugatti Legend Series will consist of 6 different cars that pay homage to past heroes of the badge. The first Legend car to emerge honored French driver Jean-Pierre Wilmille. The 2nd car is for none other than Jean Bugatti, The eldest son of founder Ettore Bugatti. I am going to go ahead and guess that the Ettore Bugatti Legend Car will be released last.
The Jean Bugatti Legend car was unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. It is based on the Grand Sport Vitesse and maintains the typical Veyron appearance along with some historical additions. You see, Jean Bugatti personally designed the infamous Type 57SC Atlantic, which is now one of the most sought after slices of Bugatti history in the world. So this Legend Series car boasts attributes of the Type 57SC, boasting the name La Voiture Noire (the black car).
Memory lane is open: Meet the Jean Bugatti Legend Series car
Holding true to history, the Jean Bugatti Legend car is finished in black carbon fiber. The grille is laden with platinum and the EB badge. To lighten the look, the car is perched on a set of diamond cut, twin five-spoke wheels.
The Jean Bugatti Legend car at a glance:
- Two-tone cabin with hand stitched leathers. The colors are a brown on beige with special door inserts.
- There is a Type 57SC shape stitched inside
- Rosewood shifter, just like in the 57SC
Fun fact: The nondescript signature of the designer is located in Arctic Gray on the oil and gas caps
Just like the Jean-Pierre Wilmille edition, just 3 units of the Jean Bugatti car will be created. Each unit is valued at approximately $3 million USD. I would not start taking out loans, however, as all are likely spoken for.
