Oh, Canada! 13 teens, 12 young men and 1 young woman, have captured headlines across borders by racing luxury cars on Highway 99 last week! Complaints from fellow motorists began pouring in to local police that a large number of expensive supercars were flying down the highway during peak rush hour on a Wednesday, leading to the discovery of the pack of fast and furious teens.
At least this did not happen in a fleet of luxury rental cars, which would have created an additional layer of issues!
The luxury cars sprawl around the impound lot
Can you imagine the shock of the other drivers on the road as a fleet of luxury cars zipped past? Among the impressive vehicles involved were:
• A 2007 Ferrari 599
• Two 2010 Lamborghini Gallardos
• A 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo
• A 2012 Nissan GT-R
• Two 2010 Nissan GT-Rs
• Two 2010 Maserati GranTurismos
• A 2011 Mercedes SL63
• A 2011 Mercedes SLS
• A 2005 Aston Martin DB9
• A 2009 Audi R8
The carefree kiddos reached speeds of around 124 miles per hour before law enforcement officials brought the fun to a screeching halt. These kids are very, very lucky because there was no video, radar or officer to witness the racing, therefore the punishment for each was a measly $196 fine, 6 points and a 7-day impound for all cars involved. Can you say wrist slap? Super funny!
This officer reminds me of Jim Lahey in ‘Trailer Park Boys’…Canadian accents are hilarious!
