Rocker Vince Neil of Motley Crue has discovered the hard way that even being a wealthy and famous resident of Sin City does not translate to a get out of jail free pass.  It seems to for Paris Hilton, but not for Lindsay Lohan, Mel Gibson, Nicole Richie or Vince Neil.  At least he was driving his own Lambo and not a Lamborghini rental or other exotic car rental LA when the incident occurred! 

Last June after departing from the Las Vegas Hilton, Neil was pulled over in his black 2008 Lamborghini by Metro police for speeding and weaving between lanes on Desert Inn Road near the strip.  I wonder if he felt like he was in the Batmobile…

Neil proceeded to blow a 0.215 and a 0.216 after failing a series of sobriety tests, not exactly good shape to be driving one of the best luxury cars and exotic car rental models on the planet!  Neil informed the officer that he had enjoyed three glasses of champagne, and that he didn’t know when his last drink was.  Was that three glasses, or three bottles, Vince?

Shockingly, this is not the first brush with drinking and driving.  The 49-year-old Neil crashed a sports car head-on into another vehicle in 1984, killing his passenger, 24-year-old Nicholas Dingley, drummer of ‘Hanoi Rocks’.  Neil accepted a plea deal, where he shelled out $2.5 million each for the two victims in the other car, served 30 days in jail, 5 years of probation and 200 hours of community service.  I am curious to see what will happen this time, based on the severity of his last incident, even if it was some 24 years ago.
